BURTON X ADIDAS COLLECTION

While Quiksilver look at pushing their brand through department stores, other action sports brands are looking to other measures. We recently picked up on a new one between Burton and Adidas, two of the top sporting brands globally.

An awesome collaboration to say the least, teaming up for a limited edition collection of men's apparel and footwear. 21 apparel pieces (including fleece tops, three-quarter length trenches, down jackets “with a street cut,”) and 7 footwear styles (with collapsible heels for easy exits and higher tops for walking through slush). Launching in Burton and adidas originals stores this November.

The pieces will feature both the adidas Trefoil and Burton logos and range from $40 to $350 for apparel and $90 to $200 for footwear.

“Adidas has an amazing history and heritage, so we are excited to work with them on this project,” said Greg Dacyshyn, senior vice president and creative director, Burton Snowboards. “To me, the goal of a really great collaboration is when the personalities of the brands complement each other. That is the case with this collection, which is a totally fresh and progressive blend of our two cultures.”
